Subscribing to Production Tier
Pre-Requisites
Before you subscribe to APIs, please make sure that you've the account username and password ready with you.
Navigate to https://apim.idmerit.com/devportal to explore our list of APIs.
Please note the production subscription requires a service agreement to be signed by you and approved by IDMERIT. Once signed you can follow the below steps to subscribe to the production environment.
Make sure that the API you're intend to use in Production, is not subscribed under Sandbox Tier. If you've already subscribed the same API under Sandbox Tier, kindly unsubscribe the API, and follow below steps to subscribing Production Tier.
Please note that subscribing to Production Tier would automatically give you access to subscribe to Sandbox Tier. Please make sure that you use Sandbox Token while accessing the Sandbox Tier and Production Token while using the Production Tier.
Step 01: Navigating to Global Verification APIs
Navigate to "Sign-In" button on the top right corner, and use your registered account username and password, and click on "Sign-In". Please note that our Developer Portal does not support login via email.
One logged-in, browse through our list of 175+ countries and their sources, or you can search for specific APIs through the search-console.
Click on the API you're interested in subscribing to.
Step 02: Subscribing to the API
Once you have selected the API, navigate to subscription section with subscribe button above text saying "No Application subscriptions".
In case you've subscribed to the API, the text would display "1 application subscribed".
On clicking the "Subscribe" button, it will take you to the Subscriptions tab. The application name "IDMverify" is a constant, however, the throttling policy is to be selected according to your needs. I order to set or subscribe to Production Tier, please select Throttling Policy as "Production".
Step 03: API Approval Process
IDMERIT has API approval process in place, through which user can raise the API approval request, and upon approval, user can access the Production Tier of the selected API.
After clicking on Subscribe, your application status will show "On_Hold".
As you as you subscribe to Production, a request is sent to the IDMERIT administration team to verify the agreement and scope of API. If the scope matches, the request is accepted and an email with confirmation will be received on your registered email id. (if email is not received in your Inbox, please check your Spam/Junk folders).
After successful approval, the Throttling Tier will be set to “Production” and Application Status will change to “UNBLOCKED”.
Step 04: Production Key Approval Process
IDMERIT has a one-time API Key Approval Process in place to access the Production Tier. Please note that the Production Key Approval is a one-time approval process.
Under the Subscriptions Tab, look for "PROD KEYS", and click on it.
After clicking the "PROD KEYS", you may see this message "A request to register this application has been sent and is pending approval". This sends a request to IDMERIT administrators for first-time production key approval.
After the approval, please click on "PROD KEYS" button in the Subscriptions tab, and click on it.
This opens a form with a "Consumer key" (username) and "Consumer Secret" (password), which will be used as username and password to generate an access token.
Click on Generate Access Token button, which will open another form with Access token validity. The default validity is set to 3600 seconds (1 hour).
Once the validity is adjusted click on the "Generate" button.
This will provide a token with the validity of the time you mentioned in the scope.
